History
Established in 1994 as PhysicianPracticeNetwork, an information service for in-house
recruiters and physicians, PracticeLink is now one of the oldest, largest and most
respected physician employment opportunity websites.
Within the first few months of the company’s life, it became apparent that the Internet
would revolutionize the recruitment process.
PracticeLink.com was launched in 1996 as one of the first of four major medical
employment web sites. The first PracticeLink Internet-based placement took place
months later when a practicing critical care physician from New York State took
a new opportunity with St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minn. To the best of our
knowledge, this is the first commercially documented Internet-based physician placement
in the history of the Web.
