What began as the first hospital in the Dakota Territory in 1885 has flourished along with the region's population and economy to become a complete medical center serving central and western North Dakota, northern South Dakota and eastern Montana.
St. Alexius Medical Center has gained a national reputation for its high-quality care, modern technology and top-notch, friendly people. While many things have changed since the late 1800s, one thing remains constant... our mission to receive and serve all as Christ.
Besides our main facility in Bismarck, North Dakota, St. Alexius works in cooperation with other hospitals and clinics throughout the region to support local efforts and provide specialized care when and if required. Our outreach activity includes an interactive telemedicine network, hospital affiliations, satellite clinics, remote fetal monitoring and biomedical engineering - just to name a few.
Also, in order to meet our current and future patients' needs in the changing health care industry, we are teamed up with the PrimeCare network of health care organizations.
