Located on the largest freshwater lake in Wisconsin, Oshkosh and its surrounding communities are home to a population of about 85,000. Situated at the southern end of the Fox Valley, Oshkosh’s vibrant and varied economy makes it the state’s 2nd largest and fastest growing economic region. The area boasts outstanding schools, including a nationally recognized nursing program at the local branch of the University of Wisconsin.
Additionally, families can enjoy the affordable housing and homespun atmosphere of this safe Midwestern city—which includes Aurora’s new state-of-the-art hospital.
Recreational activities are limitless, with many parks, lakes, forests and rivers. There are also a number of fine museums and theatres and, of course, the famed Experimental Aircraft Association. For one week every August, Oshkosh is the world’s busiest airport, hosting planes and pilots from around the globe at the annual EAA Fly-In.
