Cardon Children’s Medical Center located on the campus of Banner Desert Medical Center serves a population of 350,000+ children in the East Valley of Phoenix and is the flagship children’s hospital for the entire Banner Health system with referrals from the entire Southwest region.  A state-of-the-art 248-bed children’s hospital expansion is under construction and scheduled for completion November 2009.  There is also ample opportunity for involvement in medical student and resident education and research.
