Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist Opportunity in Phoenix at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center

INPATIENT ADULT PSYCHIATRIST – Phoenix metro area. Board Certified/Eligible in adult psychiatry required. Employed practice opportunity is available in very active behavioral health services department at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (BTMC). Join three other physicians in coverage at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. Staff consists of 1 Fulltime Psychiatric Hospitalist,2 half Hospitalist,and half office-Psychiatric admission- Consultation/Liasion postion. Care is conducted within a therapeutic environment. Intensive Outpatient Programs for adults and adolescents for both mental health and chemical dependency are also available. Separate crisis/intake department with RN’s and master’s level counselors who perform psych assessments for individuals coming to our crisis office, arriving in the medical center’s ED and on the medical floors.

BTMC is located in the Northwest Valley with three universities, plenty of shopping and rapid growth. BTMC has a very loyal patient base as well as a close-knit community. The facility is currently undergoing a $200 million expansion from 400-beds to 600-beds with a completion date of 2008.
