Salem Surgical Associates, PA a well established group surgical practice specializing in general, vascular, and colorectal surgery is seeking an additional general surgeon to join their very busy practice.  Salem Surgical Associates is located in Winston-Salem, NC and is a ten provider practice. The comprehensive services provided by the practice include surgical services for abdominal organs (i.e. gallbladder, stomach, appendix, and colon), the breast, thyroid gland and other endocrine organs, rectum and anus, arteries and veins, and cancer. The practice also manages surgical intensive care cases, office and outpatient surgery, and major and minor trauma. Each member of the Salem Surgical staff cares about helping our patients attain optimum health while maintaining equal concern for their peace of mind, comfort and individual needs. The successful applicant will be board certified, or in process, in General Surgery.

We practice out of two hospitals, Forsyth Medical Center with an 961-bed capacity conveniently located one block from our office and Medical Park Hospital. The practice also runs a fully accredited ICAVL vascular lab with 5 full time RVT's performing over five thousand studies this year. We also have a freestanding vein clinic located one half block from our main office which offers a full spectrum of outpatient vein treatments. A new associate with our practice can expect to be busy from day one.

Winston-Salem is a delightful family-oriented city.  It has excellent public and private schools and several colleges and universities (e.g. including Wake Forest University, NC School for the Arts and Winston Salem State University). The community also provides the arts, minor league sports, and abundant recreational activities.
