Payson Regional Medical Center was recently named one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the nation! Payson Regional is a licensed 44-bed, acute care hospital serving the local and surrounding communities for more than 40 years. A full-service facility, Payson Regional Medical Center offers medical, surgical, ICU and obstetric care. There is a 10-bed Emergency Dept offering trauma services 24/7 year round. PRMC has highly trained staff for critical cardiac, medical and surgical patients in their 7-bed ICU/CCU. Modern laboratory and radiological departments support busy inpatient and outpatient services. State-of-the-art equipment includes a spiral CT, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, mammography, fluroscopy and MRI. The Home Health Dept offers several health care support groups.

Nestled in the gently rolling hills of the majestic Mogollon Rim, Payson is just minutes away from the seven Rim Lakes and countless trout streams. Local attractions include the Casino, Tonto Natural Bridge, Shoo-Fly Indian Archaeological Site, Payson Exotic Zoo, Tonto Fish Hatchery and the 10-acre Green Valley Lake Recreation Area. Payson hosts the world's oldest continuous rodeo in August. EDUCATION
Payson's 554-square-mile school district has a high school, middle school, three elementary schools and a charter school. Two private schools offer kindergarten through eighth grade classes. Eastern Arizona College, located in Payson, offers several degrees and certificate programs. Colleges and universities within commuting distance of Payson include Mesa Community College, Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Phoenix. Scholastically, Payson students score among the highest in the State. The Payson Public Library contains over 40,000 volumes, plus books on tape, videos, a full range of reference materials and a computer and copy machine for public use.
