Seeking a board certified/board eligible internist or family practitioner to replace a retiring physician within hte next year.  The clinic also includes a general surgeon and a PA (the PA is supervised by the IM/FP).

    Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, West Virginia, is a 25-bed acute care facility serving the local and tourist population of the New River Gorge area, located 50 miles outside Charleston, the state capital. 

    The historic town of Lewisburg and The Greenbrier Hotel are each within one hour's drive from Oak Hill.

    Following the completion of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad through the gorge in the 1870s, the gorge area in and around Oak Hill became the world's top producer of coal. Today, tourism is the major contributor of local revenue. Oak Hill is located seven miles south of the New River Gorge Bridge, the highest bridge East of the Mississippi. On the third Saturday in October, people from all over converge on the area for "Bridge Day", West Virginia's largest one-day festival.

More than one million tourists a year visit the park, which encompasses over 70,000 acres of land along the river.

    More than 33 full-service whitewater rafting outfitters lead beginners and experts on exciting rafting trips down this mighty river boasting Class I, II, III, IV, V, VI rapids. The whitewater rafting season on New River spans May through September. Focus shifts to the Gauley River in October.

    For those interested in staying dry, Oak Hill and the surrounding area also offers other outdoor activities, including hiking, climbing, fishing, bicycling, skiing and more. Whatever your outdoor interest, Oak Hill's seasonal climate and enticing scenery has something to offer you.
