The Veterans Administration located in Marion, IL is recruiting fulltime and part-time psychiatrists for their outpatient programs in their Mental Health Unit.  This facility is part of a 55 bed level II acute care hospital whose services include this location and several outlying clinics.  Below are a few details about the specific openings and their locations.  Additional details about these positions and community information can be found at www.CPRRecruiting.com.   

 

 

Outpatient Mental Health Unit

Hours: 8:00 – 4:30 Mon – Fri.  Working with 3 other Psychiatrists. Fulltime or part-time will be considered. Psychiatrist is responsible for second call schedule.  Each Psychiatrist will be assigned their own nurse.  Staff at this facility of 40 professionals includes:  PA, Psychologists, Addiction Therapists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers as well as support staff.

 

Mental Health Primary Care

This is a new position working in the outpatient primary care clinic. Hours are Mon – Fri 8:00 – 4:30.  Psychiatrist is responsible for second call schedule only.

 

PTSD Program

This is a new program and would prefer someone with previous PTSD experience.  This program is staffed with a Psychologist, a licensed clinical social worker and a nurse.  Monday – Fri 8:00-4:30 minimal call since mid levels take primary call.

 

Mental Health Intensive Case Management

This position will be treating the seriously mentally ill doing home visits and will consider a part-time as well as a fulltime Psychiatrist.  This program is staffed with 2 psychiatry nurses and 2 clinical social workers.

St. Louis, Nashville and the Kentucky Derby are all within 2-3 hours; Chicago is only 5 hours by car and 2 hours by air.
