Albany Medical Center is the only academic medical center in northeastern New York and is a non-profit private academic institution consisting of Albany Medical College and the Albany Medical Center Hospital. In addition, Albany Medical Center is a 650-bed tertiary care facility that is the primary teaching hospital for Albany Medical College and is serving the 25 counties and nearly 3 million people of northeastern New York and western New England.
