Outdoor Paradise- Internal Medicine Outpatient Opportunity

Community:

Bozeman, Montana boasts seven mountain ranges surrounding the community, three major rivers, six golf courses, three world class ski hills, thousands of miles of mountain trails, Montana State University, 1.5 hours from Yellowstone National Park, excellent schools, and great cultural events.  Bozeman's population is about 35,000 people and the service area is roughly 100,000. It isn’t what to do in Bozeman, but what not to do because there are so many activities—snow or sunshine.

 

Practice opportunity:

This opportunity is located within Internal Medicine Associates (IMA) —a Bozeman Deaconess Health Group; as such, you would be an employee of Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. The IMA practice houses eleven physicians with specialties in infectious disease, rheumatology, geriatric/palliative care, internal medicine and pulmonary/critical care, as well as four non-physician providers. This position offers a 4 to 4.5 work day inpatient only practice with no call so you can enjoy the Bozeman outdoors.

 

Office facility:

The office space consists of 32 exam rooms and is attached to the hospital for easy access for patients.  IMA has three NPs (one covering diabetes, one covering psychiatry), one PA, ten RNs, two MAs and three LPNs. The health group is currently using Nextgen EMR systems.

 

Call coverage:

The hospitalist take all the inpatient call at this time and the Critical Care physicians cover ICU 24-7.

Bozeman Deaconess Hospital is an 86-bed facility, with seven ORs, eight ICU beds, three pulmonary /critical care physicians who offer 24/7 coverage with additional 24/7 hospitalist coverage, ten ER beds, three ER triage beds, four overflow rooms with a $40M planned expansion to add 20 new beds in the ER. There is also a four-bed progressive care unit. Bozeman Deaconess accepts approximately 23,000 admits per year, has level III ACS designation and is JACHO Certified. Currently, there is no neurosurgeon or CT surgeon on site.

 

Compensation and benefits:

This is a hospital-employed position. Pay is dependent upon experience as a base the first year with the opportunity for production and qualitative bonus.  Up to $10,000 is offered for relocation and a sign-on bonus available. The position is benefit eligible for the following: health, dental, vision, retirement plan, life insurance, paid malpractice, approximately 27days of vacation time in first year, 1 week CME and $3000 paid medical licensing expenses.
