The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medial Center invites applications for a tenure-track investigator of musculoskeletal research. Competitive candidates for this full-time academic position will have an MD or PhD degree with a successful track record of high-quality research in area(s) relevant to musculoskeletal disease. This position is open to individuals with a rank of Assistant Professor and above with more senior candidates possessing a proven track record of basic science research including external federal funding.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and expansion of musculoskeletal-oriented basic science research programs, establishing collaboration with University investigators, coordinating research efforts of the Department and ultimately obtaining a training grant to increase involvement of orthopaedic residents in basic science and translational research.
