The Wild Rivers Coast is marked by wild and scenic rivers including the Smith River, Winchuck River, Chetco River, and the Rogue River, wilderness areas, and state parks. Sport and commercial fishing for ocean and river fishing is abundant. Ocean and River guides can assist you to the best fishing spots and there is opportunity for crabbing and digging for clams and oysters. If catching it is not your fancy there is plenty of opportunity to purchase fresh seafood from places such as Chetco Seafood, Little J Live Crab and Dick and Casey’s Seafood to name a few.

Southwestern Oregon Community College offers a variety of college courses for students of all ages. Children that graduate from Curry County with a 3.78 grade point average qualify for full scholarships to SOCC.
