Hand/Plastic Surgeon

The Department of Plastic Surgery seeks a Board Certified/Eligible Plastic Surgeon.  Candidates must be accredited fellowship trained in hand, upper extremity, microsurgery and possess expertise in general reconstruction, myocutaneous and free flap experience.  Interest in research is essential for this opportunity. 

Duties to include but not limited to: weekly staffing of residents in hand clinic and operating room for hand/upper extremity and microsurgery at all affiliated UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics including - Parkland Health & Hospital System, Dallas V.A. Hospital and Children’s Medical Center.  Additionally, the position will involve instruction and participation in minor surgeries, conducting out-patient clinics, seminars and rounds with plastic surgery residents, rotations, students. Development of a private academic practice at University Hospitals/Outpatient Surgery Center is also expected along with developing research interest and a national reputation in hand and microsurgery.  Commensurate with experience, academic rank will be given at the Assistant Professor level.  Candidates must have or be eligible for a Texas medical license.
