Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center is a 72-bed primary care hospital which, in 1996, 1999 and again in 2002, earned Accreditation with Commendation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. We are located in the lush rolling hills of Eastern Kentucky where we serve a population base of more than 45,000 people from five counties. Our modern facility, constructed in 1983 and expanded in 1994, continues an 80-year tradition of quality health care begun in 1920 by our predecessor, Paintsville Hospital. Paintsville is the county seat of Johnson County, Kentucky, and is the focal point of commerce, banking, medicine, education and law for a multi-county region. Principle industries include coal mining and related businesses, an American Standard plant, product distribution facilities, a growing wood products industry and a thriving tourism center.
