High volume of cardiology patients and recent hosptial
designation as a primary PCI center (as of June’09)
All area STEMI patients will come to Danville Regional for their primary PCI (increased volumes due to expanded coverage)
Newly re-signed Duke University-Danville Regional agreement provides Duke open heart & vascular surgery support until 2018.
Duke & DRMC implementing new standards of care initiatives & cardiac support @ DRMC
Practice Overview
2 current full-time interventional cardiologists practicing in Danville
Recruiting practice has existed since 1989. New building (13,000 sq ft) opened in October ‘08
Onsite echo, stress echo, nuclear camera, holter & event monitoring, EKG, PT & ABI
Average daily patient volumes vary from 20 – 45 patients per day per doc
2 cath labs include Philips x-ray @ Danville Regional Medical Center
Finances
Base salary provided by group + production bonus or 12mo income guarantee by hospital
1st yr compensation using MGMA numbers w/ additioanl sign-on, relocation & loan assistance (if applicable)
If joining group, then 1-2 year partnership track w/ optional buy-in {incl. A/R, assets & real estate}
