Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, Houston’s largest and most renowned private multi-specialty physician group, was founded by Dr. Mavis Kelsey in 1949. Dr. Kelsey began with one office in the Texas Medical Center and a vision of creating Houston’s premiere medical practice.

This vision fueled the growth of an organization that today cares for more than 300,000 Houston-area residents and employs more than 250 highly qualified physicians and 1800 employees.

With its unique network of more than 20 clinics, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic cares for local families as well as international patients who have made Kelsey-Seybold a family tradition. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration in 1966 selected Kelsey-Seybold Clinic to provide medical services to its astronauts and employees. This partnership continues today, with Kelsey-Seybold physicians on site with astronauts in Moscow and at Johnson Space Center right here in Houston.

In 2002, Kelsey-Seybold's management company became affiliated with the St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System. This relationship with St. Luke’s combines the strengths of a healthcare system recognized worldwide for excellence, with Houston’s leading private physician practice.
