Northwest Permanente, P.C. is a self-governed, multi-specialty group of approximately 950 physicians and surgeons providing the professional services for 490,000 members of Kaiser Permanente in Oregon and Washington. We are seeking Board Eligible/Board Certified general psychiatrists for our acute care residential facility. The unit is housed in a new building architecturally designed to provide mental health case based on the "Sanctuary Model".
New associates will work with our adult voluntary patients in an environment that supports a sense of community while forgoing the use of seclusion or restraints. The center has private rooms with views, comfortable seating areas, and patient access to an open-air atrium. Applicants should be comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary team and be knowledgeable in psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis, somatic treatments including use of psychotropic medication, and psychotherapies (individual, group, family). The Department of Mental Health has a multidisciplinary staff of over 130 mental health professionals in medical offices throughout Kaiser Permanente Northwest in Oregon and Washington. We presently offer adult and child adolescent outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient therapy, group therapies as well as providing a 24-hour hospital-based crisis program. A full range of outpatient mental health services are provided by the Department for covered conditions.
Among the many systems which support our daily practice is an award-winning Windows-based electronic medical record system which allows for easy access to all pertinent patient clinical data.
