Marietta Memorial Hospital consists of a 199 bed not-for-profit community hospital; The health system is also comprised of a full service cancer center, rehabilitation center, extended care facility and a retirement community.  Our medical staff has 140+ members and encompasses all specialties including interventional cardiology, an adult and pediatric hospitalist program, neurosurgery, and plastic/reconstructive surgery.   We have recently been named in the Top 5% in the nation for Patient Safety.

Marietta Memorial’s main OR capacity is five high-tech operating rooms (each with PACS) with the ability to expand two additional rooms as necessary.  Twenty-three patient rooms provide ample room for the family to stay with patient preoperatively and during Phase II Recovery.   Comfortable waiting areas with flat screen TVs, large windows to bring in light, and comfortable furniture provide a soothing atmosphere. A business work center is available for families to utilize their laptops while waiting. 

 Community Profile: Marietta has recently been named by National Geographic Magazine as one of the top adventure communities in the nation (#1 in Ohio!). As the first settlement in the North West Territory (and Ohio!), Marietta brings 4 seasons of festivals and activities to the general population. Located on the Ohio and Muskingum rivers, Marietta is a recreational paradise offering golfing, water skiing, fishing, hunting, and boating for warm weather recreation. Marietta is within driving distance of skiing and snowmobiling in the winter.
