We are currently seeking Board Certified or Eligible General Internists and Family Physicians for positions in Salem, Oregon.
Salem, Oregon's capital of approximately 120,000 people, is a service area within the Northwest Permanente which has about 45,000 members. The department of primary care is made up of 11 family physicians, 13 internists, 6 pediatricians, and 10 physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Salem physicians care for patients either one of two Kaiser medical offices and obtain privileges at the Salem Hospital, which is a 250+ bed community hospital with a full range of services. Specialty care is provided by a mixed model of Northwest Permanente full-time specialists and referrals to contracted Salem community specialists. Our physicians' work week includes 35 hours of scheduled hours of clinic over four days. In addition, there are call activities and some department business activities. Our department is divided into five primary care teams made up of six to ten clinicians, with supporting RNs and medical assistants. Our members are encouraged to select a primary care physician and to see that physician for the majority of their health care visits.
