Northwest Permanente, P.C., is a self-governed, multi-specialty group of over 900 physicians and surgeons providing the professional services for 475,000 members of Kaiser Permanente in Oregon and Washington. We are currently seeking Board Certified or Eligible General Internists and Family Physicians for positions in Portland, Oregon.
In addition to outpatient responsibilities, Portland area Internists share in-house call at one of Kaiser Permanente's three affiliated hospitals in the Portland metropolitan area, and department members round in small groups on a rotational basis. There is also a group of hospital-based Internists who share hospital responsibilities on a full-time basis, including rounding on the inpatient service and providing hospital/ER coverage.
Opportunities are also available in certain areas for teaching medical students from Oregon Health and Science University who rotate through Kaiser Permanente's medical facilities. Appointment to the University's clinical staff is required to pursue this activity.
Our Family Physicians in the Portland metropolitan area have a busy outpatient clinical practice and provide scheduled urgent care services. Some also share rounding responsibilities at affiliated local plan hospitals. No beeper or in-house call is required.
Among the many systems which support our daily practice is an award-winning Windows-based electronic medical record system which allows for easy access to all pertinent patient clinical data.
Physicians with Northwest Permanente, P.C. receive competitive salaries in addition to an extensive benefit package which includes medical, dental, disability and life insurance; generous retirement plans; vacation, sabbatical and educational leave; and professional liability coverage. Physicians are also eligible for Senior Physician and Shareholder standing after approximately three years with the group (must be Board Certified by that time).
