Georgetown Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed, acute-care facility. We offer state-of-the-art equipment and provide a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. Support groups, community outreach and educational programs and special events such as health fairs and weekly screening opportunities support a demonstrated commitment to our community’s health.  Located in the historic seaport city of Georgetown, S.C., approximately 40 miles south of Myrtle Beach and an hour north of Charleston, Georgetown Memorial Hospital’s current campus includes 20 acres in a tranquil, tree-lined setting surrounded by graceful Colonial and antebellum homes.

Waccamaw Community Hospital, which opened in November, 2002, consists of 124 all-private patient rooms and 43 acute inpatient rehabilitation beds for a total of 167 inpatient beds. Like GMH, Waccamaw Community Hospital also offers outpatient services, community programs and special events. Both facilities have 24-hour emergency departments.  In late 2002, Waccamaw Community Hospital opened in beautiful Murrells Inlet serving the fast growing northern section of Georgetown County. Murrells Inlet, a fishing village nicknamed the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina," has a unique Marshwalk and creekside park offering residents and visitors magnificent marsh views. Another local landmark is Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden created by Anna and Archer Huntington which showcases remarkable sculptures and acres of vivid gardens. Across highway 17 from the gardens, Huntington Beach State Park offers access to natural beaches and other family recreation. 

The Georgetown Hospital Family also includes a variety of other services located at sites throughout Georgetown County: HealthPoint - Center for Health and Fitness, NextStep Rehabilitation Services, NextStep Pain Management Services, and Wound Healing Center, The Francis B. Ford Cancer Treatment Center and The Imaging Center and Breast Health Center at Waccamaw Medical Park.
