Since 1953, St. Charles Mercy Hospital has provided for the healthcare needs of Toledo’s eastern communities. A 390-bed community hospital, St. Charles is a member of the Mercy Health Partners System, a seven hospital faith-based system serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. St. Charles is the preferred hospital for Toledo’s eastern communities, serving residents of Oregon, East Toledo and Lucas, Wood and Ottawa counties. It provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient care. In 2007, it recorded 10,942 patient admissions, 700 births and 44,927 emergency department visits. St. Charles Mercy Hospital has approximately 1,400 full-time and part-time employees and 561 physicians on its Medical Staff. Acute Rehabilitation Unit that provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation services to adults who need multiple therapies to achieve their full potential for recovery, not only physically, but also socially, emotionally and vocationally.
