Entrepreneur Richard Stephenson, who vowed to create a patient-centered cancer program after his mother lost her battle with cancer, founded Cancer Treatment Centers of America in 1988. Our comprehensive cancer hospitals in Zion, Illinois, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, plus an outpatient clinic in Seattle, Washington, are among the pioneers in developing integrated cancer care. The integration of traditional medicine with scientifically based alternative and complementary medicine, offered in a patient-centered environment has made CTCA one of the fastest growing cancer centers in America.

CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center is located in a mid-sized city with Southern charm, Eastern elegance and Western flair. It is a city of rolling hills, graceful tree-lined neighborhoods, vintage oil baron mansions and art deco architecture. It offers something for everyone's taste from classical ballet and nationally recognized art museums, to rodeos, nearby lakes, and world-renowned golf courses. The Tulsa metro area of approximately 750,000 residents surprises visitors with its cosmopolitan flavor and its small-town friendliness. You can experience a delightful mix of rich culture, colorful history, terrific shopping and lively nightlife. Tulsa is one of the nation's most affordable places to live, and an excellent community to raise a family.

Southwestern moved into a $30 million state-of-the-art facility in 2005. In addition to traditional surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, Southwestern offers clinical research, pain management and innovative radiation treatments such as IMRT, HDR brachytherapy and TomoTherapy. We offer advanced techniques in our lung center, breast cancer surgery, and GI malignancies including radio frequency ablation and interarterial chemotherapy. With a team of specialists to provide nutritional guidance, mind-body medicine, spiritual support, and naturopathic medicine, our physicians can give their patients the integrative care they want and deserve.
