St. Vincent's Health System is currently seeking an outstanding OB/GYN physician to join our growing network of providers. This is an opportunity to serve two medically underserved areas with great growth potential.
You will share call with well-respected Board Certified OBGYN physicians with a minimum of 1:4 call.
This position is employed with a competitive MGMA-based salary plus generous bonus opportunities and an excellent benefits package. Candidate will be an employee of St. Vincent's Health System with employment and benefits package through the first year. St. Vincent's St. Clair is located in Pell City, Alabama approximately 40 minutes from downtown Birmingham and 90 minutes from Atlanta alone I-20. Forecasts are for continued economic expansion equal to or exceeding the last seven years with plans for a new hospital and medical complex to be completed by 2011. St. Vincent's St. Clair is located close to Logan Martin Lake and has traditionally been considered to be a lake retirement community. Recents years however, have brought the emergence of Honda Automotive manufacturing in Lincoln nearby. Associated and non-associated light manufacturing industry has fueled significant growth to the local population. The average age while still above the Alabama average age of 38, is dropping due to influx of younger families to the county due to the economic growth locally.
St. Vincent's Blount is a pastoral setting in the foothills of the Appalachians. It is also 40 minutes from downtown Birmingham. Many families are moving to this area for the school systems and great cost of living.
Physicians will deliver at St. Vincent's East which has 1,084 births per year. Their women's center houses private labor and delivery suites, pre- and post- partum suites and additional service areas. There are NICU beds, a c-section suite, and doctor sleeping lounges.
