A board certified/eligible general surgeon is needed to join four general surgeons at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare-Mayo Health System in La Crosse, WI.  The practice includes all aspects of general surgery and sharing equal call.  Providing surgical outreach services at a Franciscan Skemp Healthcare regional site will be part of the practice. 

Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, a multispecialty group/healthcare network, part of Mayo Health System, has more than 200 physicians and associate providers on staff., serving a population base of 240,000 in the tri-state area of western Wisconsin, northeastern Iowa and southeastern Minnesota.

The Medical Center in La Crosse has 250 beds, a 16-bed combined medical-surgical ICU/CCU covered by Critical Care physicians, state-of-the-art OR suites, Day Surgery Unit, 24-hour anesthesia coverage, cardiac cath lab, comprehensive Cancer Center that includes chemotherapy and radiation oncology services, a 24-hour Hospitalist Service and full diagnostic radiology and laboratory services.  The Emergency & Urgent Care Center (Level III) is staffed 24 hours by ER physicians.  With the recent addition of a second nephrologist, a new inpatient dialysis service is being developed.    

Physicians are employed by Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, initially receiving a competitive salary guarantee with subsequent productivity-based compensation along with a generous benefit package.
