Here’s a great opportunity with potential for quick volume growth and extensive hospital support in a growing community with 200,000+ service area.  We're looking for a BC/BE Neurosurgeon with a solid work history; special interest in backs and spines is preferred but not required.

 

   ·         Private practice with shared call of 1:2 anticipated

·         Nine ORs, well trained nursing and anesthesia staff

·         Medtronics, Globus and Depuy instrumentation available

·         Zeiss Contravas microscope, Valley Lab Cusa Excel for tumor removal, etc.

DeTar Hospital Navarro

Serving a seven county service area from its location in Victoria, DeTar Hospital Navarro is a major medical resource for its region.  More than 22,500 people utilize the services of DeTar Hospital Navarro and its sister facility, DeTar Hospital North every month. 

 

In addition to everything expected from full-service acute care hospitals, the DeTar hospitals also provide an Emergency/Trauma Department, Urgent Care Centers, Rural Medical Clinics in surrounding communities, a Health & Wellness Center, a Senior Care Center, an Occupational Medicine Center, inpatient & outpatient rehabilitation, a Sleep Disorders Center and now the new Women & Children’s Center. DeTar Hospital Navarro is licensed for 193 inpatient beds, has a medical staff of more than 238,  and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).

 

Over the past 6 years, DeTar has invested $35 million in renovations and expansions at both hospitals.  DeTar Hospital Navarro was totally renovated—inside and out.  A full-service heart program was established, and a new ICU, Transitional ICU, and Day Surgery Center were completed.    More recently, DeTar North added a 64-slice CT scanner to the Radiology Department to aid in the detection of heart disease and to use in Trauma cases when medical attention is needed in the most critical, “Golden Hour".
