Location:  Minneapolis, MN - on the west bank of the University of Minnesota-near downtown Minneapolis and 10 miles from downtown St. Paul.

Requirements: BC/BE in Psychiatry. As part of a team of adult psychiatrists, manage patients within 8 adult inpatient psychiatry units. Those with an interest may perform ECTs, medical consults, and work in outpatient programs. Opportunity is available to teach medical students and residents as adjunct faculty in the University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Psychiatry.

The team on inpatient (hospitalist) psychiatrists work collaboratively to manage patients within the acute setting. An average census for each psychiatrist is approximately 15 patients. Week day call is shared amongst 8 providers. Weekend call is shared amongst 10 providers. Physicians generally work a 4 or 5 day work week.
