Practice Description: General multifaceted outpatient practice with geriatric (nursing home), general adult and chemical dependency patients.  Hospital consultations to medical and surgical patients also provided.  Ability to expand to child/adolescent available if candidate is interested. Current practice consists of a Mayo trained Psychiatrist, three Psychologists, two Registered Nurses, and receptionists providing services to five area nursing homes, outpatient practice, acute general hospital consultation, rehab unit consultation, residential chemical dependency consultation. (Inpatient psychiatric patients referred to Rochester, Austin, Owatonna, or Mankato or Mason City if Iowa resident). 

Candidate Specifications:

• Board eligible/Board certified Psychiatrist
• Unrestricted license to practice in Minnesota and Iowa.  Ideal candidate will enjoy all aspects of general outpatient psychiatric care (psychotherapy and medication management), nursing home consultation and differentiation of dual diagnosed medical and chemical dependency patients; have excellent communication skills;  be a team member; and have good patient rapport.
