The Bath VA Medical Center, part of VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York (VISN 2) is located in the Southern Tier of New York State. The Medical Center serves veterans in Allegany, Chemung, Steuben, parts of Schuyler and Yates counties, as well as veterans in north central Pennsylvania in Tioga and Potter counties.

The Bath VA also provides primary and mental health care through community based outpatient clinics in Elmira and Wellsville, New York.
A national cemetery with roots dating back to the Civil War is also located on the Medical Center grounds. There are five Medal of Honor recipients interred at Bath National Cemetery, as well as 28 soldiers from the War of 1812, and a large number of Union Soldiers from the Civil War. Bath National Cemetery also maintains Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, New York.
