MD-Family Practice - Ft Polk,LA
TASKS.
Duties of the Family Practice Physicians shall consist of, but are not limited to:

Perform a full range of general medical services to include the ability and experience to adequately diagnose and treat urgent/acute disease and injuries including but not limited to: Skin,Pulmonary System ,Head ,Gastrointestinal System,Eyes,Musculoskeletal System,Ears,Genitourinary System,Nose,Reproductive System Throat,Lymphatic System,Neck,Central Nervous System,Cardiovascular System,Endocrine System

Have sufficient experience to be able to adequately diagnose and treat diseases and injuries to include, but not limited to:
Upper and Lower Respiratory Infections,
Ear, Eye, Nasal, and Lung Infections,Skin Disorders and Infections,Minor Heart Disorders,Minor Allergic Reactions,Simple Hay Fever,Asthma ,Eczema

Have sufficient experience to be able to adequately perform medical procedures on an inpatient or outpatient basis

Become familiar with the MTF formulary. Contract physicians authorized to prescribe pharmaceuticals shall do so according to the availability of drugs listed therein. Follow the procedures of the MTF when prescribing drugs.

repare records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures.

Attend and participate in patient care reports, patient care conferences, team conferences, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities only to the extent that such attendance and participation is relative to his/her assigned cases and/or performance of contract services as determined by the COR or Department Chief.

Facilitate patient access to medical care by recommending appropriate referrals to other health care providers in accordance with MTF policies and regulations

Remain on duty at the end of the normal daily tour of duty and continue to provide required care during emergencies or when in the process of delivering infants.
Salary:
$185,400.00
CME Allowance: $2000.00 per year. Covers Professional Membership fees,License/Certification renewals,CME courses, etc. Paid on a reimbursement bases.
