Russell County Medical Center (RCMC) was founded in 1938 and is celebrating its 70th Anniversary this year. The hospital is a 78-bed general acute care facility offering a wide range of services including: a 7-bed emergency department; a 5-bed intensive care unit; a 3-room surgical suite; a 58-bed medical surgical unit; and a 20-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit. The facility offers a wide variety of diagnostic imaging services including: radiography; fluoroscopy; computed tomography (CT); ultrasound; nuclear medicine; and a mobile MRI.
