Medical Director for Lung Transplantation

The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, is seeking a Medical Director for Lung Transplantation.  Applicant must have an M.D. degree from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship from an ACGME accredited program.  Applicant must in addition have at least three years dedicated lung transplant experience.  Level of appointment will be commensurate with experience at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor.  Candidate must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board certified/eligible in Internal medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine.  Duties include providing and supervising patient care in ambulatory lung transplant clinics and inpatient services, and postoperative care of lung and heart-lung transplant patients at the University and its affiliated hospitals, performing bronchoscopic procedures, and teaching of residents and subspecialty fellows.
