Simi Valley Hospital (SVH) is a 201-bed acute care facility located in Ventura County, California, serving the communities of Simi Valley, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks and the West San Fernando Valley. SVH provides a full continuum of care, featuring The Nancy Reagan Breast Center, diagnostic imaging, cardiopulmonary, transitional care, GI lab, inpatient and outpatient surgery, inpatient therapies, ICU/telemetry, women's services, Level II NICU, pediatric rehabilitation, laboratory and pharmacy.
In 2008, the hospital had 4,998 admissions, 486 deliveries, 24,080 ER visits, 71,593 outpatient visits and 9,269 home care visits. SVH is staffed by 221 physicians, 812 employees and 114 volunteers.
In 2008, SVH completed the bed tower phase of the Patient Care Tower addition, debuting the Level II NICU, and embarked on the final phase of the project--construction of a 7,000 square-foot structure that will feature a new lobby, chapel, gift shop and admitting area. SVH was named the 2008 Business of the Year by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce. The hospital was named among the 2008 HomeCare Elite by Outcomes Concept Systems, Inc. for excellence in home care services. SVH contributed over $16 million in free and low-cost services to the community in 2008.
