STG International is currently seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to support services at the Naval Branch Health Clinic in Groton, CT.
The psychiatrist will support the Deployment Health Center (DHC) at Naval Branch Health Clinic focusing on Post Deployment Health Re-Assessment (PDHRA) tasks. Two primary goals of the DHC are to remove barriers to patient care for service members returning from deployment and to identify emerging health conditions related to deployment.
Shifts will generally be scheduled for a 9-hour period and include a 1-hour uncompensated meal break. The contractor health care practitioner shall each be on duty for about 40 hours each week, except during periods of approved leave and holidays. In no instance will the contractor health care practitioner be required to provide services (on-site service plus approved leave and holidays) in excess of 160 hours per 4-week period.
HOURS OF OPERATION. In general, the Deployment Health Center operates from 0730 to 1630 Monday through Friday, except on the day of observance of Federal holidays which it is closed. DHC hours shall extend past the scheduled closing time to complete treatment of scheduled patients. The last patients of the day generally have an appointment time 15 to 20 minutes before the scheduled clinic closing time.
The contractor Psychiatrist will accrue 10 hours of personal leave (annual plus sick) for each 80 hours worked.
The active duty or civil service Navy physicians will be responsible for all after hours call. Contract physician will not be responsible for after hours call.
REQUIREMENTS:
Have graduated from a medical school approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association or certification by the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
Have successful completion of a residency program (corresponding to the specialty required by the task order) which has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association or those Canadian training programs approved by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or other appropriate Canadian medical authority.
Possess board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Association, OR, Possess residency training and not less than 3 years of experience within the last 5 years as a full-time psychiatrist OR, Have graduated from a psychiatry residency program within the preceding 12 months.
Possess a current, valid, unrestricted license in one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Notwithstanding the aforementioned requirements, the HCW must have pertinent clinical experience within the past 2 years sufficient to demonstrate current clinical competency for the setting and procedures required by this contract.
