StoneCrest Medical Center is one of HCA Healthcare's newest facilities, opened in November of 2003, and wonderful things continue to happen with this facility, our physicians and with the community. StoneCrest is located just 20 minutes southEast of the city of Nashville offering a good central location. We are currently celebrating the doors opening on our own Sarah Cannon Cancer Center on campus!   Our campus also offers a FULL array of acute care services such as emergency care, general surgery, cardiology, obstetrics, intensive care, diagnostic services and cancer care.  There are already plans to add an additional 25 beds in 2007.

The community of Smyrna is located in Rutherford County with a population of 25,000.  Rutherford County's population is more than 170,000. The county has earned the designation as one of the fastest growing counties in TN. The community offers plentiful housing options, beautiful parks and golf courses, one of the largest Universities in the state (MTSU)...not to mention an outstanding and very affordable quality of living. An important note: Rutherford County consistently receives high marks on its educational programs (K-12.)

Nashville is a thriving metropolitan city with a population of approximately 600,000 and is repeatedly recognized as one of the country’s top cities for business and future growth.  In 2006, Forbe's magazine rated Nashville #7 as their Best Places for Business and Careers and Kiplinger's magazine rated Nashville as their #1 Smart Places to Live saying "Affordable homes, a mild climate and a phenomenal entertainment scene that goes beyond country".  Previously Modern Physician Magazine listed Nashville as 7th on "The List" of the top 75 places to run a medical practice in the county.  Population, malpractice premiums, Medicare reimbursement, labor costs, state income tax (TN has none) and education attainment were criteria used in the ranking.  In 2003 and 2004, Nashville was voted #1 Friendliest City in the U.S. by USA Today.

Sports enthusiasts should find plenty to keep them interested since Nashville is home to several sporting teams including the Tennessee Titans NFL team, the Nashville Sounds baseball team and the NHL’s Nashville Predators - not to mention our new Super Speedway! For those who are interested in what Nashville is most famous for, the new County Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Old Opry, the Bluebird Cafe and the Ryman Auditorium should provide a good starting point to explore the country music life in the area.
