YY06 Anesthesiology- Chronic Pain Management @ BAMC, Ft. Sam Houston, Tx
The-contract anesthesiologist will perform full time care to patients being seen and treated in the Anesthesiology Pain Clinic as well as the full range of anesthesia to include, but not limited to, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and burn, neuro anesthesia.

UALIFICATIONS:
A doctorate degree from an accredited college approved by the Council n Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association or Doctor of Osteopathy from a college accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.
A minimum of three years of experience within the last five years working as an anesthesiologist and at least three years within the last five years practicing Chronic Pain Management. Experience and ability to manage a full range of Chronic Pain problems to include Benign and Malignant pain syndromes is required. Fellowship training in Chronic Pain Management by an ACGME accredited Fellowship in Chronic Pain Management. The contractor must demonstrate significant proficiency in Interventional Pain Management and the utilization of Fluoroscopy.
Currently licensed in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands and be able to obtain clinical privileges to practice medicine with the applicable MTF Credentials Committee.
Board certified or board eligible as determined by the American Board of Anesthesiologist. The anesthesiologist must obtain board certification within three years of eligibility. Board Certified or Board Eligible American Board of Anesthesiology subspecialty in Pain Medicine.
Graduates of foreign medical schools are required to possess both a medical license and other certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or 5th Pathway.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and advance cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications. The contractor is responsible for maintaining these certifications in a current status at all time while performing services under this contract.
Research Requirements: Research experience is desired. Will be expected to participate in novel research projects sponsored by DCI or industry in support of residency research requirements. Research should lead to publication in peer-reviewed journals and International presentations. Willingness to participate in research is a minimum requirement.
