Del Norte is California's most northwestern county and sits on the Oregon border along the scenic Pacific Coast.  The area’s natural beauty is world renowned.  In addition to giant, old-growth redwood forests, wild rivers, and rugged coastline, Del Norte boasts abundant wildlife such as the many thousands of Aleutian geese that migrate from Canada every year, and herds of Roosevelt Elk.  The area offers many outdoor activities like salmon and steelhead fishing, kayaking, birding, camping, and hiking.
