Valley Baptist Health System has 2 full-service, community-based hospitals and is part of a premiere community health system.  VBHS is proud of the comprehensive health care services we provide to the communities we serve. As a Regional Integrated Delivery System, VBHS includes two acute care inpatient facilities, a skilled nursing facility, a durable medical equipment company, home health, hospice and infusion care, an imaging center, ambulatory surgery centers, and a 350-physician member hospital organization.

Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville is a 243-bed community hospital which provides a broad range of quality medical and health care services to the Lower Valley.  The hospital, located on Central Blvd. at Jefferson Street in Brownsville, places an emphasis on quality care; preventive health care, including diabetes education and management; and customer service.  The community hospital traces its beginnings to 1923, when it was founded by the Sisters of Mercy.  The hospital became part of the Valley Baptist system in 2004.
