Position
Martin’s Point Health Care is looking for a new Internist to work in their affiliate practice in Bangor, Maine. This is a full time position where the hired candidate will work with 2 physicians and 1 NP. Call is 1:6 and every 6th weekend. The qualified candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.

St. Joseph Hospital is a 112-bed acute care, not-for-profit community hospital located in Bangor, Maine. The hospital recognizes a service area exceeding 120,000 Maine residents. Founded in 1947 by the Felician Sisters of Enfield, Connecticut, St. Joseph Healthcare's mission embodies wellness promotion, and the healing of the whole person: mind, body and spirit. St. Joseph Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and is licensed by the Maine Department of Human Services. The hospital’s facilities were recently updated through a series of major renovations that improved virtually all patient care areas including patient rooms (80% of which are now private), a state-of-the-art emergency department and operating suites, a new MRI Center, and a new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

Eastern Maine Medical Center, located right in the city of Bangor, is Maine's second largest hospital (a 400-bed facility) and the first medical center in the state to win the "100 Top Hospitals" award (in 1999). This organization has an active medical staff of over 300 serving a greater community of some 120,000 area residents. EMMC provides specialty and intensive service to the northern two-thirds of the state. In 1998, EMMC became one of three designated trauma centers in the Maine Trauma System, a voluntary trauma response network involving all Maine hospitals and the state’s Emergency Medical Service.
