Included in the medical center services are a 24-hour emergency department, state of the art endoscopy lab, pain center, the Community Center for Health and Education, the medical mall and the Carondelet Heart Institute. The Carondelet Heart Institute (CHI) is a "hospital within a hospital" at St. JosephMedicalCenter, focusing on cardiovascular services. It offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular care, which addresses the personal and spiritual needs of each individual. CHI offers three digital cardiac catheterization labs, an electrophysiology lab to address patients' heart rhythm problems, an extensive area of non-invasive testing and cardiac risk screening and a personal heart advocate for each patient.
The Medical Mall at St. JosephMedicalCenter provides outpatient services at one convenient location including rehabilitation therapy, a pulmonary clinic, emergency services, pre-admission testing, imaging, mammography and ultrasound services, Seniors Clinic and outpatient surgery. The mall also houses physician offices and health-related support services including a gift shop, food court, retail pharmacy and a bank. Long-term skilled nursing care is available close to the medical center by Carondelet Manor and Villa Saint Joseph.
