Seeking a physician to join our team full-time at this 19,000-volume ED on beautiful Whidbey Island.
We are seeking a full-time physician who is trained and board eligible or certified in emergency medicine to join the staff in the emergency department at Whidbey General Hospital. This 19,000-volume ED is staffed with 30 hours of physician coverage, and the hospital enjoys the beautiful surroundings of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Whidbey Island zigzags its way through the northern edge of Puget Sound, attached by a bridge to the mainland. An idyllic patchwork of family farms and pine forests, the island receives only half the rainfall of Seattle.

Located on the scenic waters of Penn Cove, Coupeville reflects the character of a frontier seaport when Puget Sound was being settled. Its historic waterfront district boasts steamed mussels and fish-n-chips in a rustic tavern surrounded by well-preserved Victorian mansions. On Ebey's Landing you’ll find Fort Casey State Park and Fort Ebey State Park, where you can spend a day in recreational pursuits. Scuba dive at the Fort Casey Underwater Reserve, or visit the Admiralty Head Lighthouse. Go bird watching at Crockett Lake or mountain biking in the Kettles area, or explore historic farms where forests are still farmed and harvested.
