COMMUNITY:   This southwestern community is located 70 miles south of Eugene and the University of Oregon along the I-5 corridor. COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER/POSITION:  This position functions as a Physician in an out-patient primary health care clinic, serving the low-income, working poor, homeless and those individuals with barriers to health care, of Douglas County. The clinic has two clinicians on staff and they practice general primary care with uninsured and low income patients.  The main duties for the position include: Primary care for all ages, including newborn; Some hospital/hospitalists available;  Serve as leader of clinical team consisting of receptionist, medical assistant, RN; Advise administration as needed; and Obstetrics deliveries (small caseload). This position will ensure efficient and effective patient care through collaborative planning and problem solving with clinic staff and volunteers.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  Graduate of an accredited school of medicine and a current license in the state of Oregon. The qualified candidate must hold a current DEA license.  In addition, one year professional experience in a clinic setting and bilingual applicants are preferred.
