Mercy Memorial Hospital is a 238-bed, full-service community hospital which is part of the Mercy Memorial Health System that serves a population center of 160,000 people. With a medical staff that consists of 230 professionals, Mercy Memorial is uniquely qualified to meet the health care needs of the region. Mercy Memorial offers a wide range of services, including a new birthing center, dialysis treatment, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, CT scans and MRI's, cancer care, cardiac care, home health and hospice care, physical and occupational therapy, outpatient surgery center, and other services not usually found at community hospitals. Last year ED visits exceeded 40,000, admissions were over 10,000, outpatient visits were 177,000 and there were 901 babies born. Top 10% nationally in Core Measures for AMI, CHF, Pneumonia and Surgical Care, and for ER patient satisfaction. Obtained Michigan's Governor's Award for Excellence in improving the Quality of Care and Patient Safety.
