The Institute also features the Healthy Living Café, a full-service spa, pro shop, outdoor walking trail, Healthy Living Hideaway children’s play center, and classrooms for community educational programs, meetings and special events.   We are looking for the cardiologists to be a lead in preventative healthcare and work with our other dedicated medical staff creating Medical Wellness and Prevention programs for the public.   Our Medical Director is working with programs at Vanderbilt, Duke and Houston Methodist to create unique programs for a town our size.  We have over 11,000 members.

The Institute for Healthy Living is a sustainable or “green” design, one of the fastest growing architectural and interior design trends. The Institute was planned with five broad ideals of sustainability in mind: site planning, water conservation, energy efficient, air quality and renewable materials/resources. These design features and construction elements position the Institute for Healthy Living for a certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) under the U. S. Green Building Council.  .  For more information about GoodShepherdMedicalCenter and our Institute, you can visit our web-site at http://www.goodshepherdhealth.org/.
