The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is seeking Psychiatrists. The job incumbent provides direct clinical services including psychiatric assessment, advanced health evaluations, psychotherapy and medication prescription, primarily in an outpatient setting to Indian Health Beneficiaries. Incumbent uses pharmacological and non pharmacological methods to meet the needs of individuals, couples and groups across the lifespan.
Must be a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Current DEA license with the authority to prescribe in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. State of Alaska Board certified or Board eligible as a Psychiatrist. Three years experience in a behavioral health clinic or hospital providing services with one year post residency experience. Three years experience with DSM IV diagnosis, treatment coordination, planning, and follow up, crisis intervention, consultation and coordination with medical staff, other agencies and providers, routine charting and writing professional reports. Previous clinical experience in crosscultural setting preferred.
