Logan Regional Medical Center is the only major acute care full-service hospital available to a population in southwestern West Virginia and eastern Kentucky exceeding 170,000 people. The 132-bed hospital employs 625 full time equivalent staff and physicians. The Medical Staff consists of 79 physicians serving 23 medical specialties.
The hospital’s hillside campus setting overlooks the county seat of Logan County, the city of Logan. Logan is easily accessible to the Charleston-Huntington metro area via four-lane Route 119. Although located in a rural area, Logan Regional Medical Center is merely 54 miles from West Virginia’s State Capital in Charleston.
HOSPITAL FACILITIES
The hospital campus includes three office buildings situated to provide for future expansion options and maximum patient access. The Medical Office Building, located next to the main hospital’s emergency services, provides office space for orthopedics, pulmonology, sleep medicine, internal medicine and surgical physician practices.
In addition to physician practices in neurology, obstetrics/gynecology and ophthalmology, the Kruger Medical Plaza also houses physical, otolaryngology and cardiology. The spacious setting at Doctors Park is home to family practice medicine, gastroenterology, and an allergy/asthma clinic.
Among other vital services, the hospital’s main 132-bed facility houses emergency medicine, ICU and CCU, medical laboratory services, endoscopy, surgical services, telemetry, radiology, nuclear medicine, and obstetrics.

EDUCATION
Logan Regional Medical Center is affiliated with the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV serving as a preceptor for osteopathic students. The hospital is also affiliated with Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, WV serving as a preceptor for Physician Assistant students. The hospital also serves as an educational clinic for local nursing, laboratory, and radiology students.
