Psychiatrist for Adult In-Patient

  Our Lady of Fatima Hospital

 

 

Opportunity available for an adult psychiatrist in the 71 bed Psychiatric division at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence RI.

 Work with a multi-disciplinary team of patient care specialists.  ECT and consultation-liaison part of this opportunity.

 

One in five telephone call, two weekends/year.  Full employed benefits including health and malpractice insurance as well as CME.

The Center For Psychiatric Services at  Our Lady of Fatima Hospital is a well known community resource with a reputation for providing quality psychiatric services in a personal caring way for an adult population. Excellent care is provided to patients with a range of problems including depression, anxiety and psychosis. Services are offered across the continuum by an interdisciplinary team of highly trained mental health professionals that include psychiatrists, nurses, clinical social workers, psychologists,occupational and rehabilitative therapists. The Psychiatric Division includes a 21 bed acute adult unit, a 30 bed general adult unit and a 21 bed Geriatric Psych unit. These units provides a full range of treatment services including: Psychiatric evaluation, Individual psychotherapy, Psychological testing, Stress management groups, Relaxation technique groups, Behavior management as well as a comprehensive partial hospitalization program for both younger and older adults to provide an alternative to inpatient treatment for individuals who do not require 24-hour care. 
The  geriatric inpatient psychiatric unit  provides psychiatric and medical services to older adults suffering from age-related emotional difficulties, memory problems or acute psychiatric disorders. 
The program also offers Electro convulsive therapy (ECT), an Outpatient Program that offers convenient, comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for adults and seniors affected by such problems as anxiety, stress, depression, marital and family problems, and other psychiatric disorders. We treat the patient using a holistic approach to help restore his or her overall sense of well being. The Psychiatric Center also provides a 24-hour assessment service at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital Emergency Room for individuals who may be in crisis and in need of psychiatric treatment. There is a dedicated area where the clinical staff perform a face-to-face evaluation or a telephone screening in order to facilitate the appropriate level of care.
