THE HOSPITAL
Serving one of the fastest growing counties in Pennsylvania, Brandywine Hospital is a 168-bed, full-service, JCAHO accredited facility with a primary service area of approximately 250,000 residents. Bringing a dedicated continuum of care to the area for nearly 100 years, the hospital is home to the only Level II Trauma Center in the county, which operates 24-hours a day, and a Sky Flight Care Heliport team, which provides swift paramedic response to life-threatening emergencies throughout the county.
Brandywine Hospital has six operating suites and offers a wide range of surgical services in specialty areas including orthopedics, lastic/reconstructive, urology, ear/nose/throat, general surgery, gynecology and neurology, among others. Special units focus on critical care, progressive care and acute-care hemodialysis. The hospital also boasts 24-hour X-ray, EKG, and respiratory therapy departments, as well as a full-service radiology department, and a Short Procedure Unit.
In addition, it offers a wide range of services focused on health and wellness. Brandywine has a women's health center, a cardiovascular center, and a women and children's health resource center. Brandywine Hospital's services stretch beyond the boundaries of the primary campus. Comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation, sports medicine, behavioral and lifestyle services are offered at several convenient area locations, including: Brandywine Med Center in Exton; Brandywine Rehabilitation Associates in Downingtown; and Atkinson Community Health Center in Coatesville.
