Genesys has family and specialist practices throughout the Greater Flint area and beyond. Genesys locations include all of Genesee County, west Lapeer County, east Shiawassee County, and north Oakland County. The areas encompassed by the Genesys system are diverse, ranging from urban to rural, each with it’s own unique draw for both the health professionals and the patients they care for.
In addition to being the heart of the Genesys system, Genesee County is home to Genesys Regional Medical Center (GRMC), a state of the art hospital facility, south of Flint, just off of I-75 in Grand Blanc. GRMC, and the surrounding complex, houses many specialists conveniently located in or very near the hospital.
Flint, the urban center of Genesee County, is the location of many of the Genesys medical offices. This renewing metropolis boasts a great deal of cultural diversity in its population as well as diversity amongst entertainment, dining and activity options.
Shopping centers, restaurants, The Flint Cultural Center for Performing Arts, Flint Museums, Flint Farmer’s Market and additionally several local colleges and universities, provide this city with endless options for amusement.
The relatively recent addition of a renaissance zone in and around the old down town area provides an exciting opportunity for those people interested in urban renewal. Alternatively, the surrounding suburbs are ideal for those who would like to have easy access to the city center, while maintaining a residence in a location that is slightly more rural.
With two major interstate highways intersecting in Flint, navigating the area is fairly easy and cuts down on travel time when crossing town, or reaching a suburban destination. Shiawassee County is to the west of Flint off of I-69, while in the opposite direction Lapeer county is just as easily accessed. I-75 and I-475 provide a fast route to Oakland County in the south, and the rest of Genesee County to the north. All of these locations are within half an hour’s drive of Flint.

Genesys Health System,
the leading health care provider in mid-Michigan, is a regionally integrated healthcare delivery system comprised of affiliated medical campuses, outpatient centers and health care organizations. Serving the counties of Genesee, Shiawasee, Lapeer, northern Oakland, northern Livingston and southern Tuscola, Genesys is anchored by a 21st century inpatient facility, Genesys Regional Medical Center at Health Park. This facility is the first of its kind built clinically and architecturally around a patient-focused care philosophy. More than 120 Genesys Physician Health Organization physicians act as health advocates offering resources including outpatient ambulatory care, physical medicine treatment, substance abuse/addiction treatment, home health and mental health services. Other facilities and services include Genesys Convalescent Center, Genesys Hospice, after hour clinics and three locations capable of providing complete 24-hour emergency services.
